Do you ever want to find that perfect eyeliner that does not smudge, waterproof, and is highly-pigmented? I have this perfect eyeliner to share with you all makeup fans or for those who just want to use eyeliners to make yourself look elegant or to bring out your eyes in a subtle sexy or sweet way.
The Marc Jacobs Beauty team collaborated with Crowdtap to pick the people who were best fit to explore and show you all about this amazing eyeliner.
I had applied and was accepted to receive and test these extraordinary eyeliners called Highliner Matte Eye Crayon Shades from Marc Jacobs Beauty.
Crowdtap is a place where you receive free products according to how you participate in their activities offered on the Crowdtap website such as polls, surveys, and discussions. I had spoken to them in my last Crowdtap beauty post Achieving Clear Skin and Less Wrinkles with Jafra Royal Jelly Ritual Skincare Beauty Collection. There are times you are lucky to receive the products that are worth a lot and other times you get to test other products that are at a lower price range. It all depends on how they would choose you, which is the way I have mentioned and also if the mission for those items is not full.
The Marc Jacobs Highliner came in a cute little black box that had a magnetic closure that you easily open and close. In that little mystery glossy black box contained two Marc Jacobs high pigmented eyeliners. The eyeliners were in the color Overnight and Grapevine. The overnight color was a deep blue color but looked a little lighter when I would draw it on my eyes, and the Grapevine was a dark purple color, but as the Overnight color, it looked a little much lighter when drawn on my eyes.
These Marc Jacobs Highliner Matte Eye Crayon shades are high-end eyeliners. As I tested out these Marc Jacobs Highliners, I immediately noticed that it had a creamy consistency and glided on easily. It also dried pretty fast. I had figured out that it dries within 15 to 30 seconds, which is something you should keep in mind. This way you know when to wipe off the uneven or incorrect line drawn on your eyes. I have written more about the benefits of these eyeliners below.
Note: The Overnight blue color and Grapevine purple color did look a little brighter on my face because I had already put on some foundation on.

Benefits of the Marc Jacobs Highliner Matte Gel Crayon Shades:

It is a gel eyeliner that has a creamy, which means it glides on easily without a tug on any part of your eye.

It is very buildable, which means you can make your eyes either slightly show the eyeliner making a subtle look to your image or using more of it to make a more pronounced look.

Easily use this eyeliner to smudge or create that winged look with a smudged smokey eye sexy image.

It dries fast, which means that it will not smudge on your eyes, and it did not smudge for me unless you make it smudge.

It could last for some days if you decide to leave it on. I tested out to leave it on for two days and it did stay on that long. It is not advisable. I just was testing how good it is.

Tip: Use the Marc Jacobs Highliner Matte Gel on the top of your lash line, and it gives your eyelashes a fuller appearance without the mascara. Mascara is, however, a better touch to the whole look.
How to Use the Marc Jacobs Highliner Matte Gel Eyeliner:

Clean your face before putting any makeup on so that the makeup will truly look flawless.

After cleansing, pat dry your face and eyes,

Make sure you prime your eyes with a primer such as the miraculous Marc Jacobs Beauty Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer for example. One that is not silicone based, but water-based.

You could use your cream concealer that would hold your eyeshadow and eyeliner for longer and place it with your eye flat brush over your eyes.

Then you could start using your eyeliner technique or look.

Keep in mind that you have literally tested 15 to 30 seconds before the eyeliner gel dries up, which means making sure you do not go past that or it will dry soon. You can always wipe it off with a makeup wipe.
Marc Jacobs Highliner Matte Gel Eyeliner Techniques (Undersmoke or Smokey Eye Technique or the Winged Eyeliner Technique:

Steps for sexy sultry under smoke eye technique, which you could use for that special night out or if you like this look everyday:

Glide the Marc Jacobs Highliner Matte Gel Eyeliner through the bottom lash line of your eyes, which is the bottom rim of your eyes. Do this 2 to 3 times.

Tip: After applying the eyeliner, squeeze your eyes by closing it tightly upper to the bottom rim quickly and open your eyes. The eyeliner truly will not smudge, besides it being already smudge-proof. It is also easier to smoke your eyes that way underneath your eyes.

Use a flat small eye brush or a smudge brush, which is similar, and use it to smudge your eyeliner underneath and spread it back and forth neatly in a smudge line under your eyes. You could build it by putting on a bit more liner underneath while smudging it with your small flat brush.

Steps for that winged eyeliner technique:

After following the how-to steps above such as priming your eyes with preferably an eye primer.

Use a nude eyeshadow or close to the color of your skin to give you that clean canvas and brighten your eyes look.

Place the Marc Jacobs Highliner Matte Gel Eyeliner over near the rim of your top eyelashes.

Make sure you line right at the rim of your outer and inner upper lash line.

Tip: Use a piece of clear tape, and place it sideways up in the corner of your eyes to line your eyes, and give you that sexy cat winged eye look.

Make sure you also do the bottom part of your eyes, and line bout the inner and outer part close to the rim of your bottom lashes. I decided to wing it out in the picture for both the upper and bottom lashes.

How much product does the Marc Matte Eye Crayon Shade have inside and packaging? It has 0.01 oz or 0.5 g of the product it is a pencil that rotates the product in and out of the packaging.
